Washington’s Ukraine obsession is going to get us all killed!

A narrow escape from World War 3 ...

by Ron Paul,* USA

(4 October 2024) Last week the world narrowly escaped likely nuclear destruction, as the Biden Administration considered Ukraine’s request to allow US missiles to strike deeply into Russian territory. Russian president Vladimir Putin warned, as the request was being considered, that because these missiles could not be launched without the active participation of the US military and NATO, Russia would consider itself in a state of war with both NATO and the US should they be launched. It was a Cuban Missile Crisis on a massive scale.

Nobel Peace Prize 2024

Alfred Nobel’s legacy as a legal obligation

War must be abolished

by Dr. Sabine Vuilleumier-Koch, MD* Switzerland

(27 September 2024) On 11 October, the “Norwegian Nobel Committee” will announce which person, organisation or institution will receive the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize in 2024. After an eight-month process of thoroughly reviewing all nominees, the committee selects a winner. Since the first Nobel Peace Prize was awarded in 1901, there has been repeated controversy as to whether the choice made was truly in line with the wishes of Alfred Nobel (1833–1896).

Stationing of US intermediate-range missiles

A threat of nuclear war in Europe

by Dr. Erich Vad,* Germany

(27 September 2024) With hardly any critical media coverage and without any public discussion, the US and German governments agreed on the sidelines of the NATO summit on 10 July 2024 to deploy missiles, cruise missiles and supersonic weapons with ranges between 460 and 3000 kilometres in Germany from 2026.

by Mairead Corrigan Maguire,* Nobel Peace Laureate

(27 September 2024) I would like to thank the Youth of the world for all they do to reject violence, militarism and war. I have been inspired wherever I have travelled by the imagination, courage and resistance of so many young people. They give me great hope for the future of humanity.

Vote on WHO treaties in parliament thanks to a motion

Federal Council should use right of objection (“opting out”) to stop the automatic adoption of the International Health Regulations (IHR).

by Ralph Studer*

(20 September 2024) (CH-S/uc) On 26 September, the National Council and the Council of States will decide together whether WHO agreements can be approved or rejected by the Federal Council alone or whether the agreements must be submitted to parliament – the legislature – for a vote. So far, the Federal Council has not given any indication that it intends to avert the impending loss of sovereignty for Switzerland by accepting the amended “International Health Regulations” (IHR).

Neutrality or NATO?

Swiss neutrality or war alliance with NATO?

Fateful vote in Switzerland

by Jean-Paul Vuilleumier, chief-editor of “Swiss Standpoint”

(20 September 2024) On 29 August 2024, the “Report of the Security Policy Study Commission” was presented at the Bern Media Centre at the invitation of Federal President Viola Amherd. The “Study Commission”, set up in June 2023 by Viola Amherd, head of the “Federal Department of Defense, Civil Protection and Sport” (DDPS), has written a 70-page report on how, in her view, a “future-oriented security policy” should be designed.
